The Journal

Medicine and Materials is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to the publication of high-quality research at the interface of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, biomedical engineering, and materials science.

The journal focuses on the development, characterization, biological evaluation, clinical application, and translational use of materials, biomaterials, medical devices, implants, prostheses, pharmaceutical materials, and materials-based technologies in healthcare.

Medicine and Materials is an OPEN ACCESS journal. All published articles are freely available to readers in accordance with the journal’s Open Access and Copyright policies.

Manuscripts dealing exclusively with general clinical medicine, epidemiology, healthcare administration, social or behavioural medicine, medical education, pharmacotherapy, or other healthcare subjects without a clear materials, biomaterials, medical-device, pharmaceutical-material, or biointerface component are generally outside the primary scope of the journal.

Medicine and Materials promotes interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers, clinicians, dentists, pharmacists, biomedical engineers, and materials scientists, with emphasis on scientific rigor, ethical research, transparent reporting, and responsible innovation in healthcare.
